OIST Main campus (Day 1)
OIST’s main campus is situated on top of a hill surrounded by sub-tropical forests. The institute currently counts three fully operational laboratories and several support buildings, employing around 1000 people from a broad range of cultural backgrounds.
A shuttle bus will take our participants to the main campus on the first day of the conference in order for them to attend both plenary sessions (i.e. Steven Chu and Jean-Luc Doumont’s talks). The talks will be followed by a tour of the relevant labs of OIST.
Seaside House (Day 2 & 3)
Our participants will be lodged at the OIST Seaside House for the whole duration of the conference. There are 22 twin guest rooms located on the second and third floors of Seaside House. Each participant will be paired with a person of the same gender in one of the rooms, unless specified otherwise (specific demands will be considered upon request). All guest rooms are equipped with a shower and restroom, an air conditioning unit, and a room phone-line.
The venue is located only 3 km from the Main Campus and overlooks the East China Sea in Onna Village with a spectacular view of coral reefs and islands.
